CAMP DIVA is a non-profit organization that provides summer and after school programs geared toward helping girls ages 11-17 through the various
issues they face during their passage into womanhood. Although our programs do have an emphasis on African American culture, girls of all ethnic
backgrounds can benefit from our programs.
Every young girl looks to her father as a role model. Camp Diva recognizes and celebrates this critical role a father plays in a young girl's life

Congratulations on "Camp DIVA's 5th Annual Date With Dad Dinner and Dance." The mentorship,
programs, and services that Camp DIVA provides to young women and girls are critical to the
development of our most precious resource, our children. As your mission states, providing quality life
experiences, building life skills, and promoting positive relationships is an admirable calling and has made
a remarkable impact within our community.
The bond between a father and his daughter is very special. As I reflect upon my relationship with my
daughter, what I hold most dear, simple moments come to mind: camping with her, Annella and I
watching our favorite TV show together, driving her carpool to school or play practice. In addition to my
relationship with Nella, watching her older brothers grow in appreciation of their talented sister has also
been a real treat. Last December, all three kids even did a road trip together to visit relatives. The fact
that college boys asked their high school sister to come along made Anne and I very happy.
Those are just some of the memories that stand out for me. While I cannot be there with you today in
person, please know that I hope you have an amazing night. A special thank you to all of the fathers in
attendance, and those filling the role for fathers that could not attend. You are participating in such a
meaningful experience.
Again, congratulations to Camp Diva on your annual dinner. I wish the fathers, daughters and all
attendees a most memorable evening. May Camp DIVA have continued success and prosperity in the
community by enriching the lives of young women.
Sincerely, Timothy M. Kaine
'A Dance of Their Own' - Richmond City Jail
Camp Diva, Thank you all for the hard work you put into making RCSO's first Daddy/Daughter Dance a huge success! Our residents and staff will not forget what transpired last Saturday. It was truly a magical day for all. Without your commitment to getting the job done, the program could not have taken place. Special thanks to our generous partners for this event, Camp Diva and Goodwill Industries. Again, thanks to all. -- Lieutenant Colonel Carol H. Dabney
Camp Diva, Many thanks blessings and prayers, you were true professionals and I am very proud of all of you. Great Salsa lessons. -- Sheriff C. T. Woody, Jr.
CAMP DIVA would like to thank everyone who was a part of 'A Dance of Their Own' held at the Richmond City Jail and our 5th Annual Date with Dad Dinner and Dance. Both events were a success!
Thank you and see you next year!!!
